The reliability run for the 300 mmcf/d gas project, jointly developed by Seplat Energy and NNPC Limited, has been completed by Oilserv.

This was disclosed by Oilserv Limited—one of Africa’s leading oil and gas engineering and infrastructure companies—in a statement on its official LinkedIn page on Monday, 10 November 2025.

“We are pleased to share that the 90-day reliability run for the Assa North Ohaji South (Anoh) Gas Processing Project has been successfully completed,” the statement read in part.

A reliability test for a new gas plant typically involves performance validation under full operational conditions to ensure the plant can consistently meet design specifications over a defined period.

It is conducted to demonstrate that all systems—mechanical, electrical, and control—function reliably and is often the final step before commercial operation begins.

Anoh was run uninterrupted for 90 days, demonstrating that all systems are working properly.

“Over the past ninety days, the facility has been in continuous operation, carrying the full weight of real conditions and demonstrating its ability to deliver steady, dependable performance.”

In its Q3 report, Seplat Energy confirmed that the offtake agreement for Phase 1 of the gas project had been finalised with the Nigerian Gas Marketing Company, setting it on track to deliver first gas before the end of the year.

The gas processing plant is located at Oil Mining Lease 53 in Imo State and is unitised with the adjacent OML 21.

The first phase of the project is designed to deliver 300 mmcf/d of dry gas, condensate, and LPG to both domestic and export markets.

“Completing this period successfully shows that the gas plant can operate with the consistency and resilience needed for long-term service,” Oilserv stated.
